Supporting Katie Danzy & her tribe

Hello to all of the Danzy/Demeter family and friends! Recently, Katie was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Thankfully, after further testing they discovered that it has not spread and is the most treatable form. Her doctor is optimistic and treating aggressively but appropriately. She will undergo chemo, surgery, and then radiation. She will have eight rounds of chemo every other week on Wednesdays. Her first round will begin on June 10th at Cleveland Clinic main campus. Katie and her family would greatly appreciate the support of our community to help them as they navigate the road ahead. We want to rally behind their family during this transition as they find a new normal for the duration of this journey. Our goal is to help offset some of the financial hardships and everyday responsibilities and take what we can off of their plate to help them focus on healing. People are reaching out and wondering how they are able to help through all of this. There are options to sign up for a meal train happening on Wednesdays and Fridays, give gift cards for groceries, or donate monetarily via Venmo. The best part of having such a big community is the amount of love and support that surrounds people during their hardest times. We are so incredibly grateful for all of you and hope you'll continue to keep Katie and her family in your daily prayers! The family would like simple meals of baked/grilled chicken, hamburgers, potatoes, salad, or fruit salad. We are going to start a new tradition for the kids to look forward to, Pizza Fridays! They like cheese and pepperoni pizza and jojos from Gionino's/Papa John's but are also open to any other places as well!
