Kristy and the Wanjiru family could really use some extra love and support right now. After a recent scan, Kristy learned that her immunotherapy treatments were not working the way everyone had hoped. The cancer has progressed, and there is a mass near her heart that is now also pressing on her bronchial airway. Because of this, her doctors are moving quickly with the next treatment plan. Kristy will be having a new port placed and starting chemotherapy, along with radiation to the area causing the most concern. The hope is that this next round of treatment will help shrink the mass and give her some relief. As you can imagine, the days ahead will include a lot of appointments, treatments, recovery, and just trying to get through one day at a time. We wanted to create this page as a way for friends and family to help take one small thing off their plate.
