Help the Goto/Charpentier's Recover from Fire

Hales Corners, WI

Story

Helping Ed, Jennifer, Daniel and Sophie (the Basset Hound) Recover from Fire June 4, 2021 On Friday, June 4, at 5:30 am the klaxon sounded in our apartment building. A fast-thinking neighbor pulled the fire alarm for the building, alerting the seven families of smoke and fire. Because of her swift action, we quickly got of our beds, grabbing cell phones, purse/wallet, and putting on shoes. Little did we know this would be the last time we were in our apartment home. We are fortunate we do have renter’s insurance. We also know that will take some time and the payout may not meet our hopes. Thank you for asking how you can help us. While we continue to work through the uncertainty, we are taking things either hour by hour and day by day. As I write this note, our current uncertainty is where to live from June 14 to July 14, 2021. We have a hotel room, kindly donated by a friend with frequent traveler points, until June 14. Our new apartment back in our apartment complex comes available on or slightly before July 14. If you have any leads on a furnished space (a queen and a twin bed) bathroom and kitchen, off street parking and WIFI, please call or text Jennifer. Our best-case scenario is not having to move the furnishings more than once.
