I’m not sure yet what help I’ll need with, so it will change over time. I might need rides starting in January to treatment. I will need help maintaining my house and I already have a house cleaner who I would like to come more frequently, as I can afford. Or direct help doing light cleaning is welcome. For food, I’m not going to have much of an appetite. I live too far in the boonies for local restaurant delivery like Doordash. A keto friendly food delivery service or home made food are great. I expect to be needing support with this later in the treatment and not right now. Although I won’t have much of an appetite I don’t mind eating the same thing for several meals in a row. For food preferences I’m supposed to avoid spicy foods and cold foods. Also, I am trying to support the treatment with strategic food choices because I think food can be healing. Along those lines I’m trying to stay very low carb to help starve the cancer of sugar (its preferred food source is glucose). Soups with a broth base are great. I like all kinds of soups, and bone broths with lots of gel potential. I’m also using a lot of fresh ginger, garlic, turmeric, herbs, black pepper, coconut milk/coconut oil. I love asian flavors or traditional herbs like thyme, tarragon, basil, etc. Also I never met a vegetable I don’t like. So creativity with veggies is great, just not raw because of the “nothing cold” rule. For fund raising, early next year I’m supposed to go to Los Angeles for a special type of radiation treatment. I could use help covering the extra expenses for pet sitting (one dog and five cats). Or perhaps someone to do pet sitting? Also, for travel costs.
