Thank you for visiting our page! Dave and Judy are currently residents of Montgomery, MN, having moved there just two years ago, so be closer to family who live in the area. Dave is undergoing treatment for Stage 3 esophageal cancer, and the journey has brought significant financial impact to Dave and Judy. To surround them with care and support, we have created this page, and we are hosting benefits and raffles to help offset medical expenses for treatment related travel, as well as daily living costs during this time. The benefits will take place on Friday June 12th at Wards Bar in Dresser, WI at 5:30 PM, and on June 28th at Urban Growler Brewing in St. Paul, MN from 1 – 5 PM. More details on these events to follow. Dave and Judy are originally from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. For many years, Dave and Judy raised their family in the Apple Valley community, then after retiring, they bought a small hobby farm in Taylors Falls, MN where they worked tirelessly to completely renovate the farmhouse and grounds. They quickly formed strong ties in the Taylors Falls area, where they were participants in many local activities and events. In 2024, they moved to the Montgomery area to be closer to family. Dave and Judy have settled themselves into the Montgomery area, and enjoy spending time with their son, Jim Ficek, and his wife Jaclyn. They are also often found socializing with friends and neighbors at The American Bar in Montgomery. Dave is a former restaurant chef, and retired construction worker. Dave dedicated over 30 years of his life in the construction industry. Wherever Dave and Judy reside, everyone who knows them will attest to their love and commitment to the friends and community that surround them.
