I started this fundraiser because my disabled adult son and I are both living on SSI, and we are facing expenses that we simply cannot afford on our limited income. My son needs a full-size medical bed to safely and comfortably meet his daily needs, and our wheelchair-accessible van needs major repairs so we can have reliable transportation for medical appointments, errands, and everyday activities. We have tried sharing our fundraisers and asking for help, but we have received very little support. The most helpful support would be financial donations of any amount toward the medical bed and wheelchair-accessible van repairs. Sharing our fundraiser with friends, family, churches, community organizations, and others who may be willing to help would also mean so much to us.
