It is no surprise that people have been asking how they can support our dear friend Phebian Abdulai as she recovers from a major surgery. For decades, Phebian has put love and faith into action in Buffalo and Sierra Leone, to change lives and communities for good. Say her name, and people smile! Phebian’s surgery went well, but shortly after her return, she required another hospitalization. She is back home (again!) and we are thankful. However, Phebian will require a recovery time of approximately 6-8 weeks, and she and her family can benefit from assistance with meals and household expenses. Friends and co-workers selected this site as a platform to coordinate meals and make it easy to donate funds. Phebian and her children enjoy all foods. If providing carry-out or gift cards for food, they like Thai, Mexican, Indian and Italian. Planning to feed 4 will assure everybody eats. They also appreciate monetary gifts via Venmo to offset the financial impact of this illness. Phebian's daughter Martha will manage these donations through her Venmo account.
