If you aren't sure of the details, this is a small summary of what's been happening since Saturday, March 7. Jason is at MUSC and he is in ICU. Jason was at the hospital on Sat for one of his studies and began having a seizure in front of one of his doctors. He is now in a medically induced sedation/coma, and this is what we know, so far. Jason has been having migraines and seizures, not sure for how long, but looking back we are pretty sure he’s had more than one seizure, before Saturday. There are no signs of a full on stroke. He does have an intraventricular hemorrhage that is causing blood and spinal fluid to build up his brain. There is a drain tube placed in his head and he is fully intubated. This is not related to any of the CF trials he’s started. Doctor's think the seizures are being caused by this, and it is likely a vascular malformation from birth. It's a wait and see at this point. There is a possibility that everything may heal on its on, OR surgery may be an option to correct the malformation in the future. I will update this post as I get more information. Please keep everyone in prayer.
Mackel and Chris will be staying downtown the majority of the time, sometimes both of them, but one of them always. The other while away from the hospital will be taking shifts with extracurricular activities and their other children. They are a family of 6.
