Dear friends, family, and compassionate community, I’m reaching out on behalf of someone incredibly special — Liz F. — a close friend who has given so much to others and is now in need of support themselves. For the past two years, my friend has worked three jobs to support themselves and their two children. They are a devoted parent, a tireless advocate, and a deeply committed social worker who has poured their heart into helping others — often going above and beyond to support the most vulnerable in our community. Although social workers require a master’s degree, we are not paid adequately for our education and training (e.g. $50,000 annual salary to begin). Despite their hard work and sacrifices, financial stability has remained just out of reach. Now, they are preparing for a much-needed move — a fresh start for their family — and is facing significant financial hurdles in making it happen. This is where we come in. They have always been someone that so many have been able to turn to in times of need, including myself. Now, I’m hoping we can be their village. The funds raised will help cover: - Moving expenses (truck rental, packing materials) - First month’s rent and deposit - Basic household essentials - A little breathing room as they settle into this next chapter No amount is too small — every donation makes a difference and is received with deep gratitude.
