Story

In late September 2025, our 3yo daughter, Elena, had what seemed like simple dental irritation. A dentist visit, antibiotics, and a referral to oral surgery felt routine in our otherwise happy, healthy girl — until new symptoms appeared. Bruising spread around her eyes, and she became lethargic and sore. On the morning of September 27, an urgent trip to the pediatrician led us straight to Connecticut Children’s ER, where bloodwork and imaging from a quick-thinking ER attending revealed what no parent wants to hear: neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We’re heartbroken but grateful it was caught when it was. Still, we’re facing a long road of treatment, inpatient stays, and uncertainty. Your help means we can focus on caring for Elena — covering unexpected costs, keeping life stable for her older sister, Flora, and showing her she’s surrounded by love. Every meal, gift card, and word of encouragement matters more than we can say. Thank you for being here with us. ❤️

Special Notes

We are not accepting hospital visitors at this time as we are limiting chance of viral illness as we enter respiratory season, but cards and drawings are certainly welcomed. Characters Elena likes include: Baby Shark, Super Kitties, Gabby’s Dollhouse, Paw Patrol, Vampirina, Moana, and Frozen. Thank you ❤️
