Anchor Church is partnering with Meals on Wheels Collin County to provide Fall Harvest Boxes for local seniors. Our goal is to prepare at least 24 complete boxes filled with shelf-stable food, household necessities, and a few encouraging surprises. There are three ways to participate: 1. Commit your small group to prepare and complete however many Harvest Boxs using the required shopping list. (special notes) 2. Purchase individual supplies through our Amazon Wishlist. All wishlist quantities have been calculated to help us complete 24 boxes. 3. Join us at Anchor Church on Saturday, October 24, From 2-4 in the dream team lounge for a Harvest Box Packing Party. We will organize the donated supplies, assemble the boxes, and prepare them for delivery. This is a great hands-on service opportunity for families, homeschool groups, small groups, and anyone looking for a meaningful way to serve local seniors together. Amazon donations and individual supplies may be sent or brought to Anchor Church before the Packing Party. Completed Harvest Boxes should be returned to Anchor Church by October 24th. Anchor will deliver everything to Meals on Wheels Collin County on October 27. Together, we can provide practical help and remind seniors throughout Collin County that they are seen, valued, and loved. Each Harvest Box must contain: • 2 chicken-breast packets or easy-open pull-tab cans, approximately 7 oz. each • 2 StarKist Charlie’s Lunch To-Go Kits • 1 four-pack of microwavable vegetables • 2 easy-open vegetable soups • 1 shelf-stable microwavable complete meal, approximately 10 oz. • 1 box of Quaker Instant Oatmeal microwavable pouches, 10-count • 1 package of Wheat Thins Original Crackers • 1 jar of peanut butter, 10–18 oz. • 1 four-pack of 4 oz. mixed-fruit cups in light syrup or 100% juice • 1 jar of Simply Fruit jelly, approximately 10 oz. • 1 package containing six or eight cheese-and-cracker packs • 2 bars of soap • 1 container of sanitizing wipes • 1 box of facial tissues, approximately 110-count • 1 four-roll package of toilet paper Optional extras are also welcome, including postage stamps, large-print puzzle books, games, envelopes, greeting cards, pens, notepads, or dried fruit. Brand names are examples unless specifically required. Please check expiration dates and choose easy-open packaging whenever possible.
