I wanted to share a more personal update about our family and what we’re walking through right now. I have a spinal cord tumor that is about 2 inches in size, located inside my spinal cord itself. At this time, doctors believe it may be a myxopapillary ependymoma, though nothing is fully confirmed until it is removed and sent to pathology. On Monday, I will be undergoing a very complex and delicate surgery to remove it. Because of where it is located—inside spinal cord itself—this is a high-risk and very intricate procedure. The spinal cord controls movement, sensation, and so many essential functions, so the surgeons must carefully navigate around extremely sensitive nerves throughout the entire operation. There are real risks involved, including potential changes in strength, sensation, mobility, and a long recovery that may require rehabilitation and patience. Through all of this, my husband Zachary has been my steady support while also caring for our four kids — Skylar, Paizley, Etta, and Declan. Our days have been filled with appointments, uncertainty, emotions, and trying to keep life as normal as possible for our children in the middle of all of this. This is not an easy season for our family, but we are holding onto hope and trusting the medical team guiding us through it. If you feel led to follow along, pray for us, share our story, or support us in any way, we are truly grateful. Even just keeping our family in your thoughts, prayers, or good vibes means more than we can express. Thank you for walking through this with us. ❤️
