Meal Train for Jordi and her family

Crosby, TX

Story

Hi, my name is Taylor, I’m a friend of Jordi’s from college. We met through an honors literature class, Jordi was always on time and helpful if anyone missed, she was kind enough to offer her notes. I remember once her daughter had to come with her because she had an appointment after Jordi’s class. She set her daughter up like a QUEEN! Jordi is the kind of friend everyone hopes to have caring, dependable, and always there when you need her. In March of 2025, Jordi’s life changed. What started as a simple checkup quickly turned into an emergency when she was taken by ambulance to the Texas Medical Center and diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism. After spending nine days in the hospital, she was released to continue treatment as an outpatient and placed on medical leave for several months, following strict doctor’s orders. By mid-May, Jordi was finally able to return to work, and it felt like life was getting back on track. But on November 6, 2025, everything changed again. Jordi suffered a larger Pulmonary Embolism that blocked her right lung lobe, and her liver levels became dangerously elevated, creating new complications and a much more difficult recovery. She was scheduled to return to work on January 25, 2026, after being out since November. Unfortunately, during a recent appointment with her liver specialist, she was sent directly to the Texas Medical Center Emergency Room and admitted to the hospital. Jordi is currently undergoing multiple tests. Her liver is swollen with severe elevated levels, and doctors are searching for another possible clot, as her body is reacting as though one is present. Jordi is a devoted mom of two children, and this past year has been incredibly hard. Between ongoing medical expenses, time away from her kids, and lost time at work. The financial strain has been overwhelming. My sweet friend keeps her smile through it all though. I wanted to start a meal train for the next two weeks for Jordi and her family as she heals from a liver procedure she had done January 26. If you’re able to help out in any way the family would greatly appreciate it. Most of all, Jordi has asked for prayers for healing and strength. Any kindness, support, or prayers means more than words can express. Thank you for taking the time to read Jordi’s story and for keeping her and her family in your thoughts and Prayers.
