The Stone family would like to share with friends and family regarding Andrea’s journey. As a dedicated wife to Thomas and a loving mother to her 5 wonderful children and 3 daughter-in-laws, Andrea has always embraced faith and compassion in her care for those in her life. She never runs from a challenge and embraces life full speed. Andrea was ready to retire from the VA Medical center after 36 plus years of dedicated nursing care for our nations veterans. Late this spring she started to notice some subtle health changes. Progression of these changes became less subtle with rapid onset of changes in her vision and speech which eventually sent her to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. At this time the final diagnosis for Andrea is pending. The Stone family made the decision to reside in the comfort of her home surrounded by family as they wait for results explaining the symptoms surrounding her rapid health decline. Because of the severity of the symptoms and her need for support, Andrea enrolled into Hospice services. The Stone family which includes Thomas, Nick and Faith, Tessa, William and Bridget, James and Madi and Andrew along with Andrea need your prayers and support during this very difficult time.
