Helping our young single mom, CodyAnn Dawson, beat breast cancer

Shirley, IN

Story

CodyAnn is 32 and recently was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. After all the test came back it was also found in one of her lymph nodes. So her treatment process is chemotherapy for 6 months to shrink the lymph node then double mastectomy surgery followed by reconstructive surgery. So she has a long road ahead to beat cancer and reclaim her life. The chemotherapy treatments are creating nausea and extreme fatigue. CodyAnn says it best: "It is kicking me in the butt to say the least. I am more exhausted and more tired. It is just really hard to find the energy between being nauseous and very fatigued to try to cook dinner meals for me and my two kids" CodyAnn is a single mother raising a beautiful 6 year daughter and an energetic 7 year old son. By the time she picks them up from school, helps with homework, gets baths completed and it is time to eat ….she is almost in tears with exhaustion. We are setting up a meal donation plan to help make her treatment period just a little more doable. If you are able and find it in your heart to help by taking a couple days to help provide CodyAnn and her kids a good evening meal our appreciation is deep. If it is not in your budget prayers are still very valuable. Thank you for taking time to consider. CodyAnn’s Family

Special Notes

Delivered meals or Door Dash must be left in the Snoopy cooler on the porch. Then please knock so she knows. Because of her weakened immune state due to chemotherapy she is to avoid as much contact with people as possible.
