At only 17 years old, Thea Schroeder had already accomplished something many people spend years working toward: she saved enough money to move out and begin building an independent life. She started working at age 15 and spent the next several years consistently saving, planning, and developing the discipline needed to support herself. While attending the Aveda Institute in Goodyear, Arizona, Thea continued working nearly full time at Olive Garden. Balancing professional cosmetology training with a demanding work schedule required long days, personal sacrifice, and sustained focus. Her commitment allowed her to progress through the program ahead of schedule, with graduation planned for September 2026. Before completing school, Thea had already taken the next major step in her career.
