About Our Family ❤️ Hi everyone, First, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, prayers, messages, and check-ins we have received. They have meant more to us than you know. My pregnancy with Baby Vicks was considered high risk, and after a long and unexpected journey, our sweet boy made his early arrival at 33 weeks on July 10. He is currently receiving amazing care in the NICU, where he is showing us every day just how strong and resilient he is. Baby Vicks is beautiful, a fighter, and continues to make strides each day. I am also recovering from a C-section while navigating this new NICU journey. Since we do not yet know how long Vicks will need to stay in the NICU, we are looking into staying at a hotel nearby so we can be close to him, support his care, and continue our breastfeeding journey. Having a nearby space will also allow his big brothers, Emilio and Tomas, to be closer to him and be part of this special time as a family. We have received so much kindness from people asking how they can help. After careful thought, we decided to create this page as a way for those who would like to support our family to do so. Please know that words of encouragement, prayers, and checking in on us are already such a gift. ❤️ The biggest practical help right now will be meals and making sure Johnny is cared for too. He has been doing so much—supporting me through recovery, caring for Baby Vicks, helping with Emilio and Tomas, and trying to take care of himself through this journey. Having meals covered would allow us to focus our energy where it is needed most. If Baby Vicks’ NICU stay is longer than expected, financial support toward extending our hotel stay would also be incredibly helpful so we can remain close to him and continue being present for every milestone.
