❤️ Please Help Support Tom and Our Family ❤️ Many of you know that my dad, Tom, has been going through a very scary and unexpected medical situation. On August 14th, Tom stepped on a piece of metal at work. Unfortunately, the metal was not found during his initial ER visit. His toe continued to get worse, and when he went to urgent care on August 16th, they discovered that a piece of metal was lodged in the bottom of his toe. He was put on antibiotics, but despite treatment, the infection continued to get worse. Tom has now been hospitalized and was recently sent home, only to have to return to the hospital because the infection is not getting better. The doctors are working to get the infection under control, and he will be receiving IV antibiotics and a wound vac. There is still a possibility that he could lose his toe. This has been incredibly frightening for Tom and our entire family. On top of worrying about his health, we are now facing a lot of financial uncertainty. Tom will not be able to work for at least the next 1–2 months, depending on how his recovery goes. The medical bills, everyday expenses, and loss of income are becoming a huge burden. We are starting a GoFundMe and a meal train to help take some of that financial pressure off Tom and our family while he focuses on what matters most—fighting this infection and getting better.
