Hey I’m Jada. I just turned 18 in June which means I entered adulthood. I been in the foster system since 11. Both my parents passed by the age of 16. I have no family with little support from the state. I was kicked out of placement and sent to a shelter. My case worker vouched for me to get an apartment. I’m now here and as I’m actively Job searching and repeatedly calling the welfare office for food stamps, I haven’t had any luck. I been here almost 2 months. I need so much for the house i can’t afford it’s draining. Regardless I’m very grateful that I was put into a safe nice apartment but I need assistance. So I figured I could make an account and just hope for the best. I tried everything! Contacting my workers and asking them for help, I tried going to free furniture banks, went past a few garage sells and I’ve been searching for a job so I can buy things myself but haven’t had any luck . My hopes creating this page would be for me to get support furnishing my home and getting groceries. I also need toiletries. Anything helps! Gift cards , donated furniture, and SHEIN or Amazon purchases. I would be grateful for anything.
