Thank you for stopping by my page! I appreciate you taking the time to read about our situation. My roommate and best friend had a serious back surgery on June 2nd. She will be able to go back to work on September 3rd. She is a Special Education teacher and does not get paid during the summer. Therefore we've run out of money. For myself, I fell about 2 weeks ago and broke my L2 vertebrae. I'm scheduled for surgery on August 13th to repair it and get it back into place. I also broke my left ankle and 2 toes last September and had ankle fusion surgery last November. In another recent fall, the specialist thinks I may have rebroken those 2 toes and am wearing a boot again. I see the specialist on the 11th to see what needs to be done. All of this has lead to us being behind on rent for July and August. We have paid about half of July. The landlord decided they aren't getting paid fast enough and we had an eviction notice on our door this past Tuesday. We have stayed in contact with the landlord almost daily as they asked us to keep them informed and pay whatever we can to stay here. We have contacted every place in and around our city. Many churches and all other resources do not have funds at this time. We've tried loans and grants with no success. The police will be here on August 17th to remove us and do a lockout on us. We do not have the funds to move to another place, rent a storage unit or move back to Ohio to stay with my roomate's mom. We are in need of about $2000. Anything anyone can do to help us would be so greatly appreciated!
