On June 18th—the night before her 75th birthday—our dear friend Kay Kesler was involved in a severe automobile accident in Redding, California. Instead of celebrating a beautiful milestone with her family, Kay is now facing an incredibly difficult battle. She is currently in a coma and fighting hard every single day. Her Injuries Kay’s medical team is working tirelessly to treat extensive trauma across her entire body: • Head trauma and neurological monitoring • Internal organ damage affecting her heart, lungs, and spleen • Severe fractures throughout her spine, hips, and pelvic bones Because of the complexity of her injuries, Kay was transferred to the specialized trauma unit at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Signs of Hope Kay is a true fighter. We are profoundly grateful to share that she is making small, steady daily progress.
