On May 1st, in the middle of the afternoon, with no explanation Teri was attacked and brutally beaten in her own yard. This absolutely horrific crime was committed by her next-door neighbor, a 53 year old woman. As a result of this attack, Teri was seriously injured. She has undergone surgery but will have a very long road ahead of her. I can't even begin to understand her pain and fear that she will now have to live with. As her neighbor and friend it is our responsibility as a community to wrap our hearts around her and she navigates this attack physically, emotionally and financially. If you have ever been to Fairmont Shores nestled back in Fox Lake Hills, there is no doubt Teri has found your perfect place to sit, dine and enjoy the water. She socializes with everyone. She takes control of that dining room and will even throw back of shot of tequila if asked. I once asked her, Why do you still work? She told me she loves the people and this job gives her a little extra money with her fixed income. She loves the socialization and enjoys the walk to work.
