As some of you know, my 2 sisters and I have been displaced for almost a year and a half due to unscrupulous rental agencies and all out thievery. We are currently staying in a hotel and were it not for true friends of ours, would sometimes go without eating. This was initially caused by a snowball effect due illnesses. We were able to maintain for awhile until we just couldn't. We are now scratching and clawing our way back to normal. No easy feat. We have hit scammers and all out liars. We've also tried to attempt looking for a house with no car. A car accident totaled our car and the insurance company refused to pay out. People are busy and no one has the time nor energy to run us from house to house chasing our normal. At the beginning of all of this the three of us became sick. One contracted a heart condition which technically had her die twice, the other cancer and I contracted Lupus with a blood disease. In the midst, my husband died. In all honesty, we were separated but the love was still there. Dealing with anyone's sickness, especially a spouse, is extremely difficult. I watched my mom and dad go through it. You expect to be healthy and live forever until you realize you don't. Now, we are asking for help. We have have tried very hard to not go this route. Anything but this. But day are passing into months and months to years and living like this is only making our illness' worse. We're not asking for the ability to live in a mansion or drive a Maserati. My one sister has two children that reside in group homes due to severe autism. See can't even travel to see both her kids in Palatka due to no vehicle. In all honesty, it was the best decision for them. Her son severely broke her leg and without guidance her daughter would have been lost if something would happen to her mother. We couldn't have that. We are trying to do right by those who can't help themselves. We would do the same if they weren't blood related. So, now we are asking for your help. We desperately need a home and a cheap vehicle in which to go to the grocery stores, see our specialists (which are vast) and acquire a home ...a real home.
