Thank you for the prayers, the calls, the texts and visits. After an emergency appendectomy on Monday, May 11th, I am still in the hospital with some complications and hoping to become stable and released soon. I'm not certain when I'll go home as of yet. My good friend suggested a meal train to help my family get through this time. I will be immensely grateful to have no worries about meals and grocery shopping for meal ingredients while I recover from surgery. The surgeon says throughout next week I will need rest and recovery. If you feel led to drop off a meal for us it will be a blessing.
I myself will be on a clear liquid and bland diet for now but my kids have no diet restrictions. My main concern is that there are meals for Luke and I can eat as I tolerate and build up to regular foods. So regular meals of any kind will be wonderful.
