Amber has been fighting a battle with cancer for over a year now. It started in March of 2024 when she started having pain and other issues, only to eventually find out she had stage 3 cervical cancer. She went through various types of treatments including; radiation, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. In August 2024 she was told she had finally completed her treatment successfully and she thought this was all behind her. She returned to work and felt better. In December she started having severe pain in her knee, which prompted many more tests. She was informed the cancer had metastasized to the bone and lymph node, putting her to stage 4. Amber is going though an extremely aggressive treatment plan for the metastatic cervical cancer of immunotherapy, chemotherapy and radiation. Amongst other things. Her treatment is very painful and makes her really sick. This time has been a lot harder on her and she’s having fewer days feeling good than not. Although she’s unable to work, her amazing boss has still provided her with some income, however the thousands of dollars of medical bills, expenses related to traveling to treatments, medications, supplies etc have put an enormous financial burden on Amber. Ambers a single mother of wonderful girl with special needs and could really use the support of her friends, family and community members to support her through this unfathomable nightmare. Laneys autism makes it harder for her to regulate her emotions and she could really use being lifted up or even a day out of the friends would like to help. Amber carries so much guilt with not being able to provide Laney with the typical summer most children desire. In times like these, it’s important for Amber to be as stress free as possible to focus all of her energy on healing rather than the inability to provide for their needs financially.
