Our beloved Trisa is going under the knife on July 22. While it is a long awaited and needed surgery that is going to make her life so much better (Yay!!!), it’s still surgery (Boooooooo!!!!) Let’s band together to make life a little easier and healing a little faster! Hand made and delivered foods, gift cards for take out or groceries, any support you have to send her way will make a huge difference in the weeks after. COPY/PASTE into notes area for all deliveries: 1135 is the RED BRICK building, google maps frequently takes you to the wrong building. Address: 1135 Woodland Ave NE, Apt 4, Atlanta GA, 30324
Please no visitors for the first 4 days. T will need plenty of rest and that is one of the best ways you can support her. 🖤 Close by restaurants that are favorites: Little Bangkok, Siam Thai, Saigon Cafe, General Muir, Fat Matt's, Top Spice Malaysian, Nuevo Laredo Cantina, Outback Steakhouse, and plenty more! When in doubt, send Trisa or Matt a text! Favorite foods: Potatoes, pretty much anyway you can imagine, but bonus points for mashed, hashed, or fried. Pho soup - all sirloin or occasionally with tendon too. Singapore Noodles, no onions. Tom Kha soup. Sushi - nigiri, sashimi, and rolls are ok if they have no avocado, and favorites are tuna or salmon. Mushrooms of all kinds on/in anything. Burgers, medium. Pretty much any kind of seafood. I can snack almost all day on cheese, crackers, salami, pickles, cut up bell peppers, hummus, cut up carrots, and dip. Lox and bagels. Eggs and toast. Potatoes. Bibimbop. Did we mention potatoes? Very few fruits and deserts are no's - nom nom to the sweets. Beans are yummy and so are cooked leafy greens and salads after the first week. Dietary restrictions: Trisa does follow a modified LOW FODMAP diet, so there are some ingredients she can't eat or does minimal amounts of and (like anybody) there are some foods she just doesn't like. Matt is an experienced trash compacter, so as long as an ingredient isn't blended into the meal, he'll happily pick out and eat anything Trisa won't ;). Absolute NO ingredients if blended in = Avocado, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, most cooked fish (weirdly Trisa eats smoked and raw fish, but not much cooked unless is a very mild or buttery fish like pollock, cod, or red snapper), onion pieces Avoids whenever possible = garlic and onion (in cooked broths and sauces seems to be ok as long as it's not every meal and it's not the feature, i.e. soup broth is fine, but french onion soup mix is bad)
