Supporting Justin’s Recovery

Powder Springs, GA

Story

Justin Raines recently received a successful kidney transplant, and this meal train is a way to support him and his family as he focuses on healing and recovery. After years of managing kidney disease and dialysis, this is a joyful and life-changing moment—but recovery takes time and energy. Providing meals helps relieve one daily burden so Justin can rest, attend follow-up appointments, and regain strength. This is our chance to show up with love, encouragement, and practical support during this important season. Dietary Notes: Post-transplant meals should be simple, fresh, and well-cooked. Please avoid raw or undercooked meats, fish, or eggs, unpasteurized dairy products, and foods prepared far in advance. Lower-sodium options are appreciated. When in doubt, store-bought meals with ingredient labels are perfectly fine. Thank you for being part of Justin’s village.

Special Notes

Simple, fresh, and fully cooked meals. No raw or undercooked meats, fish, or eggs, unpasteurized dairy products, and foods prepared far in advance. Lower-sodium options. Store bought items with ingredients listed are welcome. During Justin’s recovery, we are limiting in-person visits to help protect his health as his immune system adjusts post-transplant. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and ask that meals be dropped off without extended visits unless otherwise arranged. Your support and respect during this time mean so much to the family. If you are sick or someone in your home is sick, please postpone signing up for a volunteer slot.
