Dear friends, neighbors, and kind strangers, I am writing this with a heavy heart, but also with immense love for my family. My name is Amanda. Over the last year, our lives have been completely upended. My husband suffered a severe stroke that left him permanently disabled. In addition to the stroke, he is partially blind in both eyes and is currently losing the rest of his remaining vision. For the past 12 months, we have been caught in the exhausting waiting period for Social Security to approve his disability benefits. I have spent this entire past year doing absolutely everything a person can do to keep us afloat entirely on my own. I started a solo house cleaning business, I work long hours, and I push my body to the absolute limit every single day. I am so proud that I have managed to keep a roof over our heads, food in his belly, and his bills paid by myself for a full year. But after a year of carrying this heavy weight alone, the medical bills, specialized care, and temporary housing costs have simply outpaced what one person can physically earn. Asking for help is incredibly hard for me, and it comes with a lot of heavy emotion. I am completely worn out, but my only goal is to ensure my husband is safe, warm, fed, and has his life-saving medicine while we wait for the government to process his final paperwork. We are facing an urgent financial gap just to get through these next few months. Your kindness will go directly toward: * Securing Stable Housing: Helping us cover our current temporary housing costs so we stay safe. * Medical Care & Medicine: Ensuring my husband doesn't miss a single dose of his prescriptions or vision care. * Daily Essentials: Keeping groceries on the table and keeping my business insurance active so I can keep working. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our link. Every single share and every single dollar gives us a little bit of breathing room and hope. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading our story, for your prayers, and for standing by us. With love and gratitude, Amanda
