Our sweet baby boy, Michael Osvaldo Melendez, made his sudden arrival on June 20 at 12:10 PM. Shortly after birth, he was transferred from PMH to Rady Children’s Hospital, where doctors discovered dilated loops of bowels requiring immediate medical attention. At just one day old, Michael underwent surgery to correct his intestines and clear the bowel obstruction. We are incredibly grateful that his surgery was successful, and he is now recovering well. Mom and Dad will be staying by his side over the next couple of weeks as he continues to heal and grow stronger each day. During this time, Michelle and Martin will be staying at the Ronald McDonald House across from the hospital.
