We created this page to keep everyone updated on Jaylee's journey. Thank you all for the prayers and support. We truly believe that prayer is a powerful tool and God always listens! This past June, 2025, we noticed a lump on her neck after being sick. In August it was still there so we took her into the Pediatrician. We were referred to the ENT and have had several tests since then. On Nov 19th Jay went in for a biopsy and the day after Thanksgiving we were told it was cancer. She has been diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma. Jay will help put in updates throughout this Journey as well as her parents. We have a PET, CT and Echo scan on Dec 16th, as well as a surgery to put in the portal on the 17th or 18th. Chemo will start shortly thereafter The following Bible verse Jay picked out for herself and wanted to share this with you, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27. "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7
Many have been asking how to help. We wanted to update everyone. At this time we are not doing a meal train since we don't know how Jay will handle the treatment and when we will be home. We might add one later on. For now, gift cards would be helpful so we can order food in. We might change this as we learn more and get accustomed to the process. **Please no flowers. Jaylee loves getting them normally, but she is not allowed to have them during treatment.
