As many of you know, my family has had a very difficult time over the past three years. My mom is luckily now cancer-free, but is dealing with the side effects of her post-cancer medication. She also spends most of her days taking care of Dad, taking him to and from appointments, and helping him with activities of daily living due to muscle weakness and now a broken arm. Currently, Dad has a broken humerus due to his cancer breaking his bone, making most tasks extremely difficult. He is at UCSF Parnassus being treated for his arm, the effects of his cancer, and was being treated for an infection, which he has now beaten! When he gets home, Mom will need some help! She knows so many people want to help them, but struggles to accept help. If you are far or unable to visit, no worries! Texts/ calls help them both as well. I have also included a small wishlist to help those who would like to help from afar. We are so lucky that so many people care about my parents! Tiffany and I are helping where we can. I wanted to create/ organize a place where people could help because my mom struggles to ask. Mom needs some time in the day to care for herself, do other tasks, care for Max, and start physical therapy, etc. I know my parents/ Tiffany, and I appreciate everyone/ the support being offered.
Please don't visit if you are sick/ recently been sick. Please wear a mask when visiting Dad, as he has a compromised immune system.
