Madeline "Maddy" Seymour is 18 and woke up seven weeks ago to an excruciating backache. Tests showed compressions in most of her vertebrae. She had surgery which left her paralyzed from the hips down. She is currently at Rusk in Columbia for rehab and to learn to care for herself. She is being well cared for and fed. Her mother, Rose, however, had had to give up her two jobs to care for Maddy and be with her. She is about to lose her car and has no income to feed herself or send out for delivery. Meanwhile, at home, are three men: hey father, Chris, holding down the fort, her brother, Riley, recovering from double pneumonia, and her other brother, Harry, dealing with stress-related Tourette's outbursts. This ordeal has left them financially devastated. Meals and/or delivery gift cards are welcome beginning May 22 until May 28 when Maddy should be discharged and the family will be reunited. Any support after that is also welcome.
