Get Well Soon Drauthon!

Story

Drauthon experienced multiple severe seizures on Wednesday, November 26th and was hospitalized at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He spent two days in the ICU and remained unconscious for more than 15 hours. By late Thanksgiving afternoon, he began to regain awareness—he was able to track people with his eyes and speak, though he did not yet recognize himself or others. By Friday afternoon, he was moved to the neuro floor to continue his care. Over the weekend, he made significant progress, remembering his name and recognizing family and friends. He also regained the ability to walk short distances and to eat and drink. Each day he continues to improve, gradually recovering his memory and strength. On Wednesday, December 3rd, he was transferred to MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, where he is now receiving intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy. He remains in good spirits and is working hard to return to his normal daily activities. Please continue to keep Drauthon in your prayers as he recovers.

Special Notes

Update: Drauthon has been released from rehab and is continuing his healing journey at home with the support of his outpatient care providers and family. Thank you for the continued prayers, God bless!
