Story

I am a single mom who usually carries everything on my own — from fixing cars, paying bills, cooking meals, cleaning, keeping up with yard work, and making sure my kids have what they need. Every day, I do it all because I want to give my children the best life possible. Right now, though, life has thrown more than I can carry by myself. I am facing major health challenges and upcoming surgery, and on top of that, my son will also be having surgery. Between recovery time, medical treatments, and trying to stay strong for my kids, I know I won’t be able to do everything I normally do. This means some bills may fall behind, meals may be harder to put together, and simple things like rides, gas, or daily help will become real struggles. Asking for help is not easy for me, but it is something I have to do — for myself and especially for my kids. Any support, whether it’s a meal, help with transportation, a small donation toward bills, or just encouragement, means more than words can say. I am truly grateful for every bit of kindness and support offered during this difficult season. Thank you for seeing us, for helping us, and for reminding me that I don’t have to face this alone.

Special Notes

About My Kids My children are each carrying this in their own way, and it’s important for me to share that part too. All three of them are brilliant, but this has been a lot for them to handle. One of my kids is very sensitive and wants to help me, but doesn’t always know how. Another is borderline autistic, and his worry shows up at night — he wakes me up just to check that I’m still alive. They shouldn’t have to carry that kind of fear, but it’s where we are right now. They’re kids, but they’re dealing with adult-size worries. I try to protect them and keep their lives as normal as possible, but the truth is, they feel this alongside me. Any kindness or support not only helps me, but also gives my children some breathing room — a little more space to just be kids
