A few months ago, Jason underwent an endoscopy, biopsies, CT scans, PET scans, and more appointments than he could count, until he was diagnosed with gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma. The good news is that his medical team is approaching this aggressively and with curative intent. The plan will involve chemotherapy, a pretty significant surgery, and recovery over the coming months. "I believe challenges can teach us something if we're willing to listen," Jason Anderson. "This experience has already reminded me that while planning for tomorrow matters, being present today matters too. Time with Haley. Time with Graham. Time with family and friends. Those things matter." Jason has gone through 4 rounds of chemotherapy so far. The next step will be surgery this October. Surgery will be intensive, and he'll be staying in the hospital for around 10 days. To allow him to focus on treatment, recovery, and, most importantly, his family, we put together a 'meal train' of sorts.
