I have created this meal train on behalf of our brother Mike “White Rhino” Meyer and his wonderful bride Maggie! Unfortunately Mike was doing some work and fell off a ladder. All was good until it wasn’t. He went in after a few days because of some pain that he was experiencing, to which they found that he had an aneurysm. Through this finding it was determined that he is going to have to have open heart surgery to fix the problem. Surgery is set for February 2nd. This is where the wonderful love of our OPD family comes in! During this difficult time, Maggie unfortunately still has to go to work, and to help with some of the stress of taking care of everything I offered to set this meal train up. They are in need for lunch for Mike and dinner for them in the evening. After surgery Mike is going to have to stay up to 5 days just to make sure things are going well and that he is ok to return home without issue. I’m hopeful that we can get these days filled to help take of some stress that they are going through. Mike dedicated 30+ years to the department, taught a lot of us a lot of things, maybe even beat some of us up during red man. Now it’s our turn to be able to take care of him.
