Showing Love to Steve and Linda Lyons

Fayetteville, GA

Story

Five years ago Steve was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. He went through surgery in April of 2021 and has been on and off chemo since then. In the past few months he has been put on a different type of chemo because the one they had been using is no longer working. The cancer stopped shrinking and started to grow. Stage 4 Cancer is really taking a toll on his body. It has been a difficult time for him and Linda especially since they live far from any other family members. Since he owns his own business he as been trying to work as much as he can but some days it's not possible. The side effects have been more intense on this round and affect his appetite and energy levels quite a bit. They are hoping to move soon to Florida to live close to their daughter. Their home is on the market and we are praying it sells very soon. Steve has visits to City of Hope every two weeks for labs and chemo with follow up visits in between to remove the pump. We thought this page might be helpful to keep family and friends updated. We are hoping to bless them with some extra help right now as well and could use prayers most of all. If you know anyone looking for a beautiful home near the ATL Airport or Trilith in Fayetteville, GA please send them our way. https://tinyurl.com/LyonsHouseGA Thank you in advance for reading and considering.

Special Notes

At this time visiting is difficult due to the nature of the illness and side effects. The most helpful things at this time would be prayers, gift cards, cashapp or donations to help with yardwork or keeping the house maintained for showings. Expenses from long term illness have recently become difficult to manage and we hope he can retire soon from working and focus on healing. Steve experiences nausea frequently and meal time is difficult so it would be hard to create a meal train since what he can handle eating changes often. We created an Amazon Wish List with protein shakes that are very helpful.
