Support for Liz Our friend Liz Roberts can use our help. On March 20th she had the grave misfortune of finding herself under the wheels of a pickup truck, severely injuring her leg. Just writing this sentence catches my breath and speeds up my heart. Liz is having to dedicate all of her time and abilities and patience and endurance to the healing process, a formidable challenge that is requiring multiple surgeries and hospitalizations. She is having to return tomorrow, May 27th, for another surgery. Once discharged, which may be as early as Friday May 29th, Liz's mobility and the ability for self care will be compromised. She is looking into resources for personal care so the extent of other needs at this time is uncertain. However, the need for meals is a sure thing. You can sign up to provide meals for Liz here. She says that high protein meals are important for healing. Her protein choice is poultry in one form or another and food must be gluten free. She likes most veggies " except the slimy ones like okra and eggplant". So no slimy vegetables.😅 Liz is her usual optimistic loving self who is so appreciative of any help that can be offered. Even though she is experiencing great pain, her positive outlook is strong. In the help she has been offered so far she says, " Aren't people amazing?!" I say " Isn't that attitude amazing?" Pat
Gluten free. Preferred protein is poultry.
