Hello friend of Charles, As you know, Charles is in hospice from glioblastoma. He has been blessed with very loving and supportive family and friends to care for him in his home, which was his wish. Sam, one of his triplet brothers, has been his main care giver. To support him, he is asking for volunteers to walk his beloved dog, Ruby twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. It can be as simple as a walk around the block for 15 minutes or longer if you would like. Charles' address is: 1217 Hull Terrace, 3A, Evanston, IL. 60202. No need to let them know exactly when you'll be coming. You can take the back outdoor stairwell on the east side of the building (first set of stairs) to the third floor, knock on the back door, and simply state that you're there to walk Ruby. Charles is situated in the living room so you'll be able to say hello if he's awake! :) Another way that we can support Sam and Charles is through visa gift cards. Sam does enjoy and is quite good at cooking so no need for home cooked meals. However, they do shop at Whole Foods. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to purchase Whole Foods gift cards through this site. However, if you would like to buy some from the store and drop them off or mail them, you are welcome. Otherwise, you can purchase visa gift cards through this site (click on the blue or pink visa gift button). Sam can then use the visa gift card for groceries or carry out. I do know that they enjoy Thai food. Specifically, they like veggies, pad thai, and pad see ieu with tofu but will eat just about anything from a Thai restaurant. He can also use the visa gift cards for anything else Charles or the family needs. I know many of you are praying. Please pray for peace, comfort, and God's presence with Charles. Please also pray for health, strength, and protection for Charles' care givers, specifically Sam, his siblings, and Jackie Campbell.
