Story
Bonnie Chadwick Haupert, loving wife of 60 years to Thomas J Haupert and adoring mother to Pam, Amy, Christina and Tom - has always been an incredibly special part of our family. Nana to Tommy, Luke, Grace, Austin, Ryan and Savannah, she has taken immense pride in her marriage, children and grandchildren. Bonnie has fought a long, hard, yet courageous battle with several illnesses for more than a decade and rarely ever complained about her pain, her endless journey with doctors and daily regimen of medications. I have watched in awe as she endured some seemingly insurmountable health challenges and yet she still kept a smile on her face, got back up and started again. She has bounced back more times than I can count, and I think it is all because she is just not ready to go. She had more sunsets and sunrises to watch, places to go, more life to experience and people to love. She is literally the toughest woman I have ever met with a will to live like no other. She has been an inspiration to me and to many others who know her story. As Bonnie's precious time with her husband and children are spent these next few weeks, it is my hope that we can support them by helping in any way that we can. I know that they would NEVER ask for help nor would they want me to set this up. (I didn't really ask permission!) This situation however feels different, and I pray they understand the love and spirit in which I am creating it. If you are so inclined, please feel free to participate in any way you are comfortable with. Prayers are always a wonderful way to honor those you love, so if that feels more appropriate for you, prayers are welcomed and encouraged. Much love, Erica Haupert (aka favorite daughter-in-law)
