8/13/22. Nicki came home from the hospital last night. She requested food be delivered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. SEE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS BELOW UNDER SPECIAL NOTES. Nicki has recently been diagnosed with fairly aggressive cancer. They are continuing to do more pathology and other tests to get a better understanding of the situation. She is in the process of figuring out a treatment plan and we will post details of that as we learn them. Nicki is very weak and needs help with meals for her and Kent. She really appreciates cards, texts and possibly calls. She does not want to be cut off but recognize that she is weak and tires easily. Late morning to early afternoon is a good time to call. Please keep the phone calls up beat and happy. She does NOT want people asking questions about her medical situation. Ellie will also have cards to sign and send as a group in the shop. *** Nicki is on the "Low Residue Diet" CANNOT eat nuts, seeds, raw vegetables, vegetable skins, mushrooms, or celery. NO HIGH FIBER. Kent CANNOT eat anything hard or crunchy. They dislike brussel sprouts and kale. *** Small amounts will be good. DIRECTIONS TO NICKI'S HOUSE - Her address is 2334 Cedar Avenue, BV but it is difficult to find. Her house is set back from the road. Turn on to 24th street by PMMS. Go up the hill almost to the end - feels like you are going too far. Cross Cedar Street (currently missing a street sign) and continue on 24th street. Just after you cross Cedar Street, you will pass a white house on the right and then see a BLACK mailbox. The mailbox is marked Martin 2334. Turn into that driveway and follow it back. Drop off directions - Knock on the front door.
