Rhonda's Breasties Help Rhonda Cole and Family stay Positive and Strong by joining Rhonda's Breasties!!! Rhonda is facing a lengthy and terrifying battle and she needs everyone's support. Rhonda was diagnosed March 17, 2026 with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer also known as IDC. Rhonda's IDC is Grade 3 Stage 2B Triple Negative. Grade 3 or high – grade / poorly differentiated cancer cells are characterized by rapidly growing cells that look significantly different from normal cells, it is more likely to spread to surrounding tissue than lower grade 1 or 2 cancers, it is also more aggressive. Stage 2 B is an early stage , localized breast cancer where the tumor is generally larger than 2 – 5 cm (0.787 to 1.969 inches) without lymph node spread. It is characterized as a “large” early tumor. Triple Negative means it grows more quickly than other types of breast cancer and it feeds itself. It is not dependent on other hormones to grow nor did hormones cause it and also has a higher chance of reoccurrence within the first 3-5 years. Rhonda has yearly mammograms. Her mammogram done last year in February did not show anything. You can imagine the shock at finding out she had a tumor the size of an egg (3.8 cm) (1.496 in) this year in early March. Rhonda will call this tumor “Felicia”. Rhonda is married to David Cole Sr. They have 4 adult children, David Jr., Steven, Kriston and BrayLynn and they have 16 grandchildren whom they adore and love very much. Rhonda also has a squatter whom she despises named “Felicia”. Rhonda has not been able to work due to circumstances beyond her control, not to mention her now undergoing treatment and David is retired so they live on a fixed income. The squatter provides no resources towards the household but definitely is sucking resources from the household. Rhonda's treatment will start April 7tth, Treatment will consist of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Chemo consists of 4 drugs, they give 2 for 12 weeks then they stop and then give the other 2 for the last 12 weeks so a total of 24 weeks/6 months of chemo. For the first 12 weeks they are going to focus on the first 2 drugs, one of them is called paclitaxel (conventional) and the other one Carboplatin (Kyxata:Paraplatin). She will get that dose every week for 12 weeks. She will also receive an immunotherapy drug that is Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) during the same 12 weeks. Then she will have breast imaging to see whether they are making progress shrinking it down which is the goal. Then they switch to the other 2 drugs. They other 2 drugs are given once every 3 weeks so only 4 treatments of those drugs. Those 2 drugs are Cyclophosphamide (Procytox) and Doxorubicin (Conventional) (Adriamycin). She will also receive the immunotherapy drug as well. Then she will go for surgery date TBD. She will have to continue immunotherapy treatments after surgery. Rhonda will have to travel to Cleveland for chemo treatments. Rhonda will call this process the “eviction process”. Rhonda would like to do cold capping which will help her be able to keep her hair or at least most of it. This part of treatment is not covered by insurance. The total cost for 12 sessions is $2600.00 which needs to be paid for ASAP. I am sure there will be more things that insurance will not cover 100 % as well as gas to and from treatments, food while at treatments and so on which would cause financial strain on anyone let alone someone on a fixed income. Monetary donations, gift cards and meal trains will ease the burden during this critical time. Please share this message within our community and beyond. Let's rally together to show the Cole family they are not alone in this fight. Please help Rhonda evict the squatter Felicia. Together we can help them stay positive and strong. Together we can all say GOODBYE FELICIA!!! Your kindness and support will make a world of difference during this challenging journey.
