This page is dedicated to supporting our friend and Battalion Chief Patty DeNinno. She has recently been diagnosed with cancer and will be undergoing a series of surgeries and medical procedures in the near future. Chief DeNinno was recently recognized by the department for her devotion to the well being of her crews and representing the best of what “fire department family” means. We all need someone who has our back in times of catastrophic events, both on and off the job. She has traditionally been the one to provide genuine comfort and loyal support when HCFR members have been in need, going above and beyond for our brothers and sisters. Now, she is the member in need of support and we are rallying to help provide some assistance for her and her family. Many HCFR firefighters and family members have battled the cancer fight, but never alone. Chief DeNinno always has a compassionate and supportive nature. Hopefully, we can now show her our support to help ease the recovery through small acts of kindness. Having a large extended family is a unique benefit that comes with both being a firefighter and being part of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. We appreciate the commitment to the mental and physical health of our members as well as the behind the scenes support that comes from caring and charitable friends and family.
