As many of you know, our brother James was admitted into the ICU at Henry Ford Hospital last weekend. He is battling sepsis, DKA, and a kidney infection. While he is starting to see small signs of improvement, he has a long way to go. After his ICU stay the doctors have confirmed he will need several days of physical therapy to regain strength before he is able to go home. Once he is home, he and his wife Kali have their beautiful baby Briella to care for. If you know James you know he would never ask for help. James is the most dedicated, loving, and passionate person who is always helping others. He would literally give the shirt off his back if it would help someone. James is also a fighter. He has never, and would never give up on anything. This has been shown time and time again, especially over the last several days. James owns his own landscaping and snow plow business, and unfortunately will not be able to work for the foreseeable future due to his illness. As his family, we have been overwhelmed by the number of people who have reached out asking how they can help. James and his family are going to be faced with stacks of medical bills after he begins to recover, and any stress off their plate is something we want to offer them. This will support medical bills and anything else James could need from meals and groceries, to additional care after he is back home.
