Caring for Cooper- Marybeth & Hayden

W
Story

Sweet baby Cooper was born on July 17, arriving just shy of 35 weeks. Shortly after birth, he was admitted to the NICU. On July 18, Cooper began working very hard to breathe and developed a pneumothorax (collapsed lung). His medical team made the decision to place him on a ventilator to help him rest and heal. We are so thankful that Cooper is in the care of an incredible team of doctors and nurses. We are also incredibly grateful for the many prayers being lifted up for Cooper and his parents, Marybeth and Hayden. Cooper will remain in the NICU while he continues to grow stronger. Marybeth is expected to be discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, July 21. After her discharge, she and Hayden will be making the trip back and forth from Calera to Birmingham to be with their sweet baby boy. Many have asked how they can help during this time. Food and gas gift cards would be a tremendous blessing as they travel daily to be by Cooper's side. Most of all, we ask that you continue praying for Cooper's healing, strength, and comfort, and for peace and encouragement for Marybeth and Hayden as they walk through these difficult days. Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support. They mean more than words can express.
