George’s Recovery Feast

Story

Our good friend and cousin George recently had a heart health scare and needed unexpected surgery. His recovery will take time, and we want to make sure he can focus on rest and healing, not worrying about meals or cooking. We’d love your help by signing up to provide one evening meal. Every dish, big or small, helps lighten the load and reminds George that community has his back. To keep things safe while his body fights infection, we’re asking for porch drop-offs only. Just send a quick message when food has arrived. If it’s easier, someone from the group can even pick up the meal from your house and deliver it for you. Thank you for showing up for George in this simple but meaningful way. Good food is comfort, and with your help, George can focus on getting stronger every day. *Banner art compliments of ChatGPT

Special Notes

Please keep meals both heart-healthy and lactose-free. * Low salt: avoid heavily salted or processed foods. * No dairy: George is lactose intolerant, so please skip milk, cheese, cream, and butter (lactose-free alternatives are fine). * Nourishing & simple: think lean proteins (chicken, fish, beans), plenty of vegetables, and whole grains are always a good choice.
