Story

Hi everyone, and thank you for taking the time to visit our page, Helping the Hernandez Family. In 2023, we welcomed our beautiful son, Titan, into the world. Shortly after his first birthday, our lives changed when Titan was diagnosed with multiple forms of epilepsy, developmental delays, muscle weakness, and several other complex medical conditions. Since then, life has been filled with therapies, specialist appointments, hospital visits, and learning to navigate a world we never expected. In the middle of June, Titan was admitted to Vanderbilt due to feeding intolerance issues. During that hospitalization, he began experiencing new and concerning symptoms. Things quickly took a turn, and Titan was rushed to the PICU with acute respiratory failure, where he ultimately had to be intubated and placed on a ventilator to help him breathe. Titan remained on the ventilator for seven days. During that time, every possible test was ran and numerous specialists became involved in his care. While we are incredibly grateful that our sweet boy continues to improve each day and remind us how strong he truly is, we are still left with many unanswered questions and an uncertain road ahead. We have now been in the hospital for over a month with no clear discharge date in sight. As many families know, extended hospital stays bring unexpected expenses through travel, meals, parking, and everyday necessities. If you feel led to help our family during this time, we would be deeply grateful for any support, whether it is assistance with gas, meals, or helping us with those little day-to-day necessities that add up quickly. If you are unable to give financially, we completely understand. What we ask for most are your prayers. Please pray specifically for Titan's brain, that his upcoming MRI will show healing and provide encouraging answers. Pray that his strength returns and that his muscle weakness improves. Please also pray for Mom and Dad, that we remain strong in our faith, our marriage, and in supporting one another through this difficult season. Thank you for loving, supporting, and praying for Titan. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers mean more to us than words can ever express. Much love, Robert, KT, and Titan
