On Saturday December 27th, Mira was rushed to the hospital. At her time of arrival to the hospital, she was found to be non responsive and was placed on a ventilator. From here she was air flighted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Pediatric ICU. After numerous tests/ scans, Mira was found to have Encephalitis due to influenza, creating significant swelling in her brain. She is currently still on a ventilator, and in critical condition. As with any medical crisis the financial burden unimaginable. Destiny has 3 more children at home to care for. Time away from work has placed an immense strain on the family during an already devastating time. Let’s show this family what a wonderful community we live in. How we can come together is this time of need.
