Sabrina's Tribe: Let's come together to shower a grieving friend with love!

Story

Our friends Sabrina and Joey spent more than 12 years together. Their time together was filled with love and laughter. Their memories can never be replaced or erased, even when shadowed by the hardships of life. Health and financial issues were no stranger to either of them, but through it all, they always had each other. They shared the stubborn love of two people who refused to give up, finding their strength in each other's presence... working and building together. On December 31st, Sabrina found that her partner of more than a decade had passed in his sleep, likely the result of a heart attack. Even though Joey had suffered through many battles in life and won, his body just couldn't fight anymore. Though she survives in flesh, she is understandably wounded in spirit - I cannot imagine what it feels like to lose what feels like "the other half of your soul." As she moves alone to make funeral arrangements and notify friends and family, she has found that her needs have been put on the back burner. Moving about with regular daily life after losing someone you love is already difficult - things like cooking and eating can seem pointless and even painful. I think meals should be the last thing Sabrina has to worry about right now. I would like to set up a meal train for our friend so that she has something available when she has the will and energy to eat. I would also like to schedule for people to stop by for a chat/welfare check periodocally. She's not used to being alone, and right now - she shouldn't have to be. Please join me in caring for a kindhearted friend who could use lifting up.
