Hello, and thank you for being here. We started this gift card train and community outreach because our dear friends Syvannah and Freddy Medina and their children need our help. Alfredo, or Freddy, as many know him by, is a dedicated CHP officer, husband, and father of four beautiful children who sustained major injuries at the end of a pursuit on June 11th. Since the incident, Freddy has already undergone major surgeries and is expected to face additional procedures, followed by a long and challenging recovery process. While the road ahead will not be easy, anyone who knows Freddy understands that he possesses the heart, determination, and warrior spirit to overcome adversity. Anyone who also knows Syvannah knows that she is the fierce wife with a heart of gold who stands beside her husband while raising their four sweet children. As her friends and family, the last thing we want them to worry about is food and basic life necessities. Since Syvannah will be back and forth between home and the hospital, where meals will be had is unknown. That said, if you are able, please consider donating a meal by way of gift card or food delivery service egift card, or groceries via InstaCart gift card, Target, Walmart, Stater Bros, etc. Additionally, Freddy’s CHP Family has set up a GoFundMe linked below if you feel inclined to provide a monetary donation. *Please note that Syvannah is vegetarian, but the rest of the family is not, so vegetarian food options are appreciated :-) Also, baby Zoe is currently 10 months old and while she is eating some solids, she still takes baby formula.
